Custom Applications
Many engineers use our WinSteam, @Gas and @Air
programs as building blocks for their own specific applications. Some common
applications include steam/electric heat balances, cogeneration heat balances,
valve and pipe sizing, waste heat boiler analysis and HVAC equipment
sizing. In many instances, customers create their applications using their
favorite spreadsheet program. There are times, however, when a more
structured, user-friendly approach is desired. An example of this would be
an equipment sizing program that a sales rep could use to help customers select
equipment on the spot. An application developed in Visual Basic or Visual
C++ would be ideal for this type of situation.
